Boulder County, Colorado Taxpayers Assessment Roll, 1874: An Index

This is the second known extant assessment record of taxpayers in Boulder County, Colorado. This is an Assessment Roll. It records the taxable items but does not give the amount of taxes owed. The ledger gives the names, location and valuation of property, city and town lots, amount of capital employed in merchandise and manufacturing, amount of money and credits, amount of taxable household property, amount of stock or shares in a corporation or company, value of jewelry, gold and silver plate, the number and value of horses, mules, asses, cattle, sheep, swine, goats, other animals, number and value of carriages and vehicles, locks and watches, musical instruments, improvements on homesteads and public lands, amount of all other property, number of polls, and the total. With the location information, it is fairly simple to find the property on a map.
